Afanasyev Vladimir

Born March 1, 1949 in the village of Pavlovka, Odessa region. He graduated from the Odessa State Pedagogical Institute named after K. Ushinsky (1971). Painter, graphic artist, author of art books, publicist. The works combine elements of realism, cubism, Fauvism and folk art. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (2008). Founder and director of Artsyz art school in Odessa region (1977). Member of regional, republican, all-Union and foreign art exhibitions (1970). A participant in the famous apartment exhibitions organized by Odessa nonconformist artists (1980). Author of books: “The World of Graphics by the Artist Afanasyev” (2002), “The Wedding in the Graphics of Vladimir Afanasyev” (2004).
