Born July 23, 1954 in Odessa in the family of the Soviet graphic artist Sergei Ryabchenko. He began his art education in 1966 at an art school. In 1969 he entered the Odessa Art College named after M. B. Grekov at the Department of Painting. From 1974 to 1976 he was a volunteer at the Lvov Higher Industrial School named after Mukhina in Leningrad. Upon returning to Odessa, he met and became friends with Valentin Khrushchev and Odessa "nonconformists." From 1978 to 1983, he studied at the South Ukrainian State Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky at the Faculty of Graphic Arts, where his teachers were Valery Geghamyan and Zinaida Borisyuk. Since 1987 - a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR, later the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.
