Born in 1943 in Alma-Ata, USSR.
My mother, Claudia Osheva, was a professional artist, so from an early age I understood what “magic of creativity” means.
He graduated from the university with a degree in German-Roman philology. But extensive travels, meeting people, and exploring nature provoked me to reflect this using the means of fine art. So, I got a second education at an art college. He began to exhibit while studying at college. This was followed by numerous local, national, all-Union and international exhibitions.
Member of the Union of Artists of the USSR since 1985.
I live and work in the UK since 1998.
Born September 29, 1926 in Odessa. He studied at the Odessa Art College (1948 - 1951) under D. Frumina. He worked in the industry of easel painting. Major works: “The Road” (1960); "Shevchenko in the fortress" (1964); "Before the Parade" (1967); "The Red Flag" (1964 - 1965); "Lenin" (1968 - 1970) and others. He participated in republican exhibitions since 1960. He was awarded a medal. He died in 1984.
Born on June 15, 1919, in Odessa (Ukraine).
Received art education at the Odessa State Art College (1935–1939, 1948–1951) and at the Lviv Institute of Decorative and Applied Art (1947–1948).
From 1940 to 1946 he served in the Red Army, was wounded in the battles of World War II. From 1948 to 1951 he worked in the «Odessa Society of Artists». From 1955 to 1990 was a Senior Fellow and Head of the exposure of the Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental Art. Created the club «Color, music, word» named after Churlionis under the Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental Art. In the 60s Sokolov’s apartment was also his creative workshop and an original club, a place of communication between the artist, student youth and the creative intellectuals of the city.
Artworks by Oleg Sokolov are kept in collections of Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental Art, Museum of Odessa Modern Art, Odessa Fine Art Museum, in museum and private collections in Ukraine and abroad. Permanent displays of Sokolov were opened in 2010 in the Museum of Odessa Modern Art.

For 20 years he has been a member of the Odessa Branch of the National ArtistsХ Union. People's Artist of Ukraine since 2003. His works are stored in the NAMU, Odessa Art Museum, etc.
Vladimir Grigorevich Vlasov(1927 - 2001)
Born in Odessa, Ukraine in 1927.
Studied at Odessa Art College 1942-47;
Moscow Art Institute/SURIKOV INSTITUTE 1947-53.
Member of the Union of Artists. Began exhibitng 1953. Merited Artist of the Ukraine.
Active in Odessa, Ukraine.
His paintings hang in the prestigious Odessa Fine Art Museum and in most national museums, as well as in private collections worldwide.
Valentin Altanietz (1936 - 2000) - the "Magician of Light"
Born in 1936 in Krivoi Rog, Ukraine. Graduated from the Odessa Fine Art College.
Took active part in the so called non-conformist exhibitions in the 1970s. Later participated in national and international exhibitions.
His works hang in the prestigious Odessa Art Museum and Gallery and in private collections worldwide.
Died in Odessa in 2000.
1962 – Graduated from Odessa Art College.
1992 – One of the founders of the creative association “Choven”.
1993 – Acknowledged to the National Union of Artists of Ukraine.

Kaminskyy Emmanuil Abramovych (1927-2009) A Ukrainian painter. Born in Odessa. He studied at Odessa Art School (1946 - 1951) under the guidance of L. Muchnyk, B. Ebers, M. Poplavskyy. His exhibition activity began in 1952. Member of the National Union of Artists since 1963. He lives and works in Odessa. His works are presented in the Art Museums in Odessa, Rosii , France , Great Britain , Japan.
Vyacheslav Vasilevich Tokarev (1917 - ?). Born in Tula pr. in 1917. Studied at Ryazan Art College 1934-38; INSTITUTE OF PAINTING, SCULPTURE AND ARCHITECTURE/REPIN INSTITUTE 1939-48. Member of the USSR UNion of Artists. Merited Artist of Ukraine SSR. Active in Odessa, Ukraine. Began exhibitiong in 1948. Taught at Odessa Art College 1949-55. His paintings hang in numerous major museums of Russia, Ukraine and other CIS states.

1965 – Graduated from Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after Ilya Repin. USSR Academy of Art (teachers: P. Reyhet and V.Oreshnikov).
1971 – Acknowledged to the Union of Artists.
In the late 60s became a member of the Odessa nonconformist movement .
